Parking and Transportation

The Parking and Transportation Department provides and supports access, mobility, and transportation services to faculty, staff, students, patients, and visitors of the University of Iowa. The department consists of five operating units: Cambus, Commuter Programs, Fleet Services, Facility Operations, and Parking Services. These units collaborate to provide a broad range of parking and transportation options and services.


Cambus

CAMBUS is the University’s public transit system that provides bus service throughout the campus. Serving students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the community, CAMBUS is a comprehensive transit system providing over 3 million rides per year. The services are accessible, no fare, and available to the general public.

U-Pass

Get unlimited rides on Coralville Transit with a non-expiring U-PASS sponsored by UI Parking and Transportation.

To get started, order your your Student U-PASS through MyUI. Click on Student Information and My Parking under My UIOWA. Passes may be picked up at the West Campus Transportation Center.

Hawkeye Commuter & Storage Lot

The Hawkeye Commuter & Storage Lot is a large parking lot dedicated to both daily commuter and long term student storage parking. Be sure to watch the signs in the lot to park in your correct area. Generally, student storage is on the west side (yellow) of the lot while the commuter parking is on the north side (white) of the lot.
